COUNTDOWN TO COTTONMOUTH CONTINUES...
Written by Chris Alexander
Sunday, 26 October 2008 02:03

COTTONMOUTH, the devastating short horror film directed by Christopher (HORROR BUSINESS) Garetano will premiere on the web this Halloween.

Based on the legendary short comic story by Stephen R. Bissette, COTTONMOUTH details the bloodcurdling revenge of a trio of dead women, killed by a callous corporation's faulty feminie hygeine products.

The movie co-stars scream queen and Fangoria Radio host Debbie Rochon and has an original score composed by yours truly.

Do yourself a favour and check this nightmarish movie out.

Go to www.cottonmouth.tv for up to the minute details.

NEW ROMERO ZOMBIE FILM NOW SHOOTING IN TORONTO
Written by Chris Alexander
Friday, 17 October 2008 21:16

As of this writing, I'm heading out to Ancaster, Ontario - just outside of Toronto - to be on the set of the legendary George A. Romero's new zombie film ? OF THE DEAD.

The film has ovviously yet to recieve an official title.

Here's the press release:

Production Underway on Director George A. Romero’s? OF THE DEAD

Acclaimed filmmaker George A. Romero continues to reinvent the genre he created with the latest film in his groundbreaking series, which started production today on locations across Ontario, Canada. No place is safe from the living dead.

Not even an isolated island off the North American coast, where mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, wake from death to feed on those they once held dear. But the zombies are not the only problem. When the island’s two leaders feud over whether to kill their relatives or keep them “alive” in hopes of finding a cure, a violent battle erupts that brings the living to the brink of annihilation.

In keeping with all Romero's other films, the yet-to-be-titled film is not a sequel but a new adventure inspired by today's social and political climate.

The cast includes Alan Van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, Kathleen Munroe, Devon Bostick, Richard Fitzpatrick, Stefano Colacitti, and Athena Karkanis.

"? OF THE DEAD" is written and directed by Romero.  Paula Devonshire produces. Romero, Peter Grunwald, Ara Katz, Art Spigel, Dan Fireman, and DJ Carson serve as executive producers. Director of photography Adam Swica, production designer Arv Greywal, costume designer Alex Kavanagh, and editor Michael Doherty complete the creative team.

Stay tuned to my site for updates....
